LIFELONG LEARNING
Apart from degree-conferring courses, (undergraduate, master's and PhD), the University further offers a large variety of courses, namely specialized training (2nd cycle level) and advanced studies courses (3rd cycle level).
The Distance Learning programme comprises online learning courses whose objective is to provide education and training for all, in a lifelong learning perspective. The various courses are short, between 6 and 8 weeks, and focused on the necessities of professionals requiring specialized technical instruction.
The University also offers a variety of open courses, a Course for the Preparation for Higher Education (over 23s), and various types of training for executives (UMinho Exec), languages (BabeliUM) and lifelong learning in diverse areas targeting middle and higher grade workers (TecMinho).
