The prestige attributable to UMinho derives in part from the quality of its graduates, as witnessed by their professional and personal success. As principal ambassadors and privileged partners, over 60 thousand UMinho Alumni are an essential part of the university's history, proof of the university's quality teaching and research.
One of the plans of the University is to closely accompany the professional careers of its Alumni so as to better appraise the results of their education and also to adjust the type of accessible educational opportunities to the necessities of the marketplace. In so doing, graduate employability will be enhanced by bringing employers and young graduates closer together.
